"An endless abyss of clear blue sky stretches in front of me. The air tastes like the countryside, pure and chilled in my lungs.
North East of Central Berlin on Route 19- an ocean of yellow Canola Flowers soars past me at 180kilometers an hour. My grip tightens on the polished leather steering wheel. The Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS purrs beneath my command.
Miles slip away from me as I lose myself in the smooth symphony of every gear change.

Time stands still...

I am just a man in a car and I am driving.
There is no set destination in sight, but that's okay, because, I know that so long as I keep moving forward and continue to push myself to reach that next mile, checkpoint and goal- the end destination is not whats important. The Journey is... Everything will be okay, I just have to keep moving forward.

My foot sinks deeper into the gas pedal and the German countryside melts into a blur of colour. There is nothing left to do but smile and relish in this moment of pure Euphoria"

We are back in the Store in London's Stoke Newington. Mahmut and I are looking at old pictures of his recent trip to Germany and the questions have been asked; "Why the Car? What's so neat about the Porsche?"

"The Porsche is just so iconic to Germany. The Porsche Targa 4 GTS tells such history about the birthplace and evolution of the Sports Car as we know it today." He finishes with a grin, "Oh wow. I mean, why not?"

"Ever since I was a little boy, it's been a dream of mine to drive a Porsche 911 Targa, and what better place to experience that dream, then in the birthplace of Porsche itself- Germany," Mahmut replies with esteem. "Graduating as an Automotive designer myself, I have a scholars respect for Ferdinand Porsche and his determination to create a classic, timeless new design that would become the benchmark for all other Sports Cars around the world."

"I have a lot of sentimental value when it comes to the Porsche 911. Not only was this car a childhood dream of mine, but, my first car was actually the Mercedes SRK. In the early 1920's, Ferdinand Porsche oversaw the development of the Mercedes compressor car. Both the Mercedes SRK and Porsche 911 are timeless classics. What I love most about these two cars is; despite major developments in technology and design within the Automotive Industry over the past 80years the original fundamental values of these two cars haven't changed at all."

"The Porsche 911 Targa is just every Mans dream car. There is a magnesium roof shell and panel bow, sound absorbent material in the soft squidgy bit of the roof, lightweight rear glass and a nice little motif inspired by the original ‘65 Porsche 911 Targa. It was an absolute pleasure to drive in such a beautiful, timeless machine. Was I to do it all again tomorrow I'd still choose the same car a hundred times over."

So, that's the answer; When in Germany - Hire a Porsche!
